Now he's with her new owner,  I can show you my  amigurumi version of  Severus Snape, Alan Rickman's character in the Harry Potter film saga.

I'm not a potterhead or  a  great fan of the saga, but I do love Alan Rickman and I like Snape so... I enjoyed the challenge of  "amigurumize" him.

This is the first time I added eyebrows and a nose to a amigurumi. I think the character asked for it.

The tunic is made of felt and I added a magic wand

It's a pity that I didn't take pictures before adding his hair and tunic, he looked like father Karras from The Exorcist.

I know that the new owner (a huge Snape fan) very much liked my Snape and I'm really glad!

PD: I have been hearing this song in my head during all the making process:

Kuppo!

Piggy, bear, kitten... my new amigurumi has been called all of that but neither is true. If you have ever played any one of the Final Fantasy saga you may recognized this little guy as a Moogle o Moguri.

These characters are just so cute... I love the sound they make... listen up!

(Kuppo!)

I saw this pic in internet and I wanted to make something similar. There was no pattern, so I tried my own. The truth is... they don't look alike, but you know, you have to love it just the way it is.

The ball is glued to a deconstructed paper clip. The wings are made of felt.

I hope you like it.
Coming soon... the Chocobo!

Cheers for the bride and groom!

Now that the newly weds have them, I can show you the dolls I made for my cousin Marta and her new husband, Gaby. I wanted them to have a special gift in her wedding day. I wanted to customized them as much as possible, so they recognize themselves, but the outfits were a secret... I almost hit bullseye, though! lol

I hope they like them, they were made with all my love. I was lucky to be there the day they both met and now I had witnessed their "I do " day. I hope a lot of wonderful moments are yet to come to this couple.

I've known Marta all my life so I had it easier when I made her doll. She has brown eyes and a very curly brown hair with highlights. I added her doll a veil (though she finally didn't wear it) and a pearl crown.

Her dress has an imperial cut thanks to a white sash. The wedding bouquet is also white.

Gaby was harder to customize. He's blond and has blue eyes... but the color of the doll's hair looks so yellow! I'm sorry ;)

I did not know the color of the vest or tie he was going to wear, so I went for blue:

I discarded the vest and I made a blue felt tie matching his eyes. He finally  wore a grey one, but I think mine suits him better, doesn't it ? :P

I hope them all the happiness together and all  the  best in their new life.

¡Vivan los novios!

Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask

Posted by Laura (Moñacos, Cosicas y Meriendacenas) at 12:10 PM 5 comments

Here I go again with my geeky and nostalgic amigurumi. When I was a kid  one of my favorite TV series was Sailor Moon. Everyday before school and every weekend I was glued to the TV watching the senshi of love and justice beat the bad guy up with a little help of her friends. I played with my friends re-enacting the episodes had seen that week. I collected every doll and gadget related to the series... It was close to obsession, now I think about it....

Years later, when I was already a teenager, I read the manga and I love the Sailor Moon universe (no pun intended) even more. In these past few months I had a revival session of non stop watching the series again and I had to crochet the protagonists.

My favorite was always Usagi ( aka Bunny or Serena). This is my version of her:

I'm really pround of the results. She has lots of details: the brooch in the frontal bow, the underwear, the jewelry, the tiara...etc

As I couldn't leave her alone, I had to crochet Tuxedo Mask /Mamoru /Darien /Armando.
Admit it, you also had a crush on him.

I don't really like the mask I made him, I'm working on something better. Meanwhile... here it is!

I had a great time making pictures of them both...

Do you like them?
